About Milena
I am classically trained pianist and singer but I love branching out to explore different styles. I have performed jazz, bossa nova, early music, opera, experimental classical music, pop and mainstream as well as Balkan traditional and pop music.
I enjoy learning, and I inspire others to broaden their vision as well and not to fear trying new things.
I’m a vocal soloist, backup vocalist, choir singer, accompanist, pianist, highly skill and experienced vocal coach, songwriter, and I also dance Bulgarian folk dances in LA.
I am able to quickly diagnose and fix issues that keep you from improving and growing further, using methods of healthy breathing and vocal technique, while incorporating movement and full body awareness. The same goes with piano playing. If it’s not fluid and doesn’t look or feel good, it will hinder your experience and the audiences as well.

My approach is tailored to each individual student and their needs and desires. It is grounded in the traditional education, but also including movement, acting, expression, vocal production, intonation, diction, musicianship, analysis and memorization techniques.
I work with singers and performers of many different styles and I adjust my approach to each individual.
