About Phillip

Phill Court is a professional bass player, bandleader, composer & music educator based in South Wales UK. Interested in music at a young age, Phill has strived to create a career as an in-demand bass player, composer, educator across the UK & Worldwide. As a bass player, Phill has played many of the world's biggest stages, festivals & concerts, including Glastonbury & The O2. He has performed/recorded for artists such as Mark Ronson, Jessie J, Rita Ora, Tinchy Stryder, La Roux, The BBC, Channel 4 & more. Being a session player, Phill is comfortable with any & all genres & can be found recording in some of the world's best studios such as Abbey Road, Electric Lady, Rockfield, Maida Vale & more. As an educator, Phill has achieved the highest qualifications in his field, DipRSL (Diploma in Music Teaching) & LRSL (Licentiate in Music Teaching) for electric bass. He has built up a very successful private practice in South Wales & online video over many years & boasts a 100% exam success rate. Phill's composing abilities started while studying A Level Music & Music Technology in school. He composes for many different projects including solo & group artists, TV & film, instructional tracks for students & educational publications. Phill has been listed as one of the most notable modern working bass players in the UK by numerous publications, websites and music industry professionals & most importantly, his peers. Phill is an endorsee/endorsed of/by ACS Custom, Aguilar Amplification, La Bella Strings, Overwater Basses & Remic Microphones.

Phill has an enhanced DBS check (Formerly the CRB check) and attends safeguarding courses throughout the year. Phill provides private tuition for the following. Bass Guitar Synth/Key Bass Guitar Vocals Music Theory GCSE, As & A Level Music All of Phill’s private lessons take place in his home studio in South Wales or online video utilising all manner of resources, technology & knowledge to provide the best private lessons possible.
