About Cat

Music has been the constant in my life for the past 20 years, inspiring me to become fully trained in my craft. Today it is my livelihood, my escape and my connection to others and the world. I have performed at hundreds of shows, worked as a session vocalist in studios and on stage, produced tracks for other artists, composed music internationally and built amazing relationships with a vast network of music industry professionals. All this real-world experience makes my lessons incredibly unique. Backed by the aforementioned, my studies and my 10 years of coaching I have built techniques and a teaching style that works for my students time and time again.

About the lesson

Hi, I’m Cat Madden and I would love to coach you! Along with my education, I use my real-world experience to coach all levels about technique, playing skills, performance, songwriting and artistry. A few of things that set me apart as a teacher: - My activity in the Vancouver music world connects me to the scene and allows me to pass my industry knowledge down to my students. I end up collaborating with students often! - My understanding that every student is different and my ability to adapt and grow to these ever-varying needs. - My emphasis on musicality & creativity in lessons, whilst making sure that the lessons are a nurturing, motivational and fun space! - My genuine love of coaching. This isn’t just my side hustle. Coaching is a true passion of mine and I love my students. I will be a coach til I’m old and grey! I coach online and from my home studio; a cozy, quiet, professional space with high-quality gear, sound and recording set-up ready to go! I’m also available for groups, masterclasses and private home-visit sessions! I coach any age that has a true passion for music, but, my ideal student is a partner in the commitment of showing up, the patience to keep going and the motivation to practice.
