About Mark
Bonjour! My name’s Mark, and I’m a French teacher based in the UK. I hold Qualified Teacher Status and, throughout my career, have focused on helping my students realise their full potential through individualised and targeted support.
I hold two degrees from the University of Exeter: a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Modern Foreign Languages; and a Postgraduate Certificate of Education (PGCE). I have led MFL departments in secondary schools in England and in North Carolina, and have experience teaching English in the French education system, too.
I’m looking forward to hearing more about you, your goals and how we can help you to achieve them!

French tuition for all ages and language levels! I am a qualified teacher with proven GCSE and A-level exam results, as well as experience in the French and American education systems.
Whether you’re looking to dust off your rusty O-level French before hitting the slopes, prepare for an upcoming exam (GCSE, A-level, TEF/TCF), or keep your conversational French level up during school or university holidays, we can tailor a course together to suit you, your goals and your availability.
Most learners find that the optimal lesson length ranges between 60 to 90 minutes, but this is flexible depending on your individual needs.
Lessons will be conducted with the goal of spending 90% of our time in French. Don’t panic though - my job is to know how to help you understand and respond and, while I am a C2 (native-level) French speaker, I am a native English speaker, so there’s no danger of being stuck in translation!
