About Sophie
I may not have a university degree (just yet) but I am an expert in teaching. During lockdown, my sister's school had implemented self-paced classes rather than live online classes, in which she did not feel motivated to do work. At this moment in time, I could see her education failing her.
So, I swooped in to not only teach her this content but make her motivated to learn it. I believe that is an important part of learning in the environment. So it is in my best interest to create an atmosphere where you feel comfortable and at ease when you do work.

As a high school student, I am well aware of how to connect to a student when teaching.
I believe that a tutor is not another teacher but a resource that will explain content in a matter where you can understand it. With this in mind, my classes will be built around the content you struggle with, where I can provide you with verbal help and give you resources to help you consolidate this work.
Prior to our lesson together, it would be beneficial if you messaged me about what you are struggling with at the moment so that the class I build will be focused on this.
During the lesson, I will go through any questions that you may have about it and work through examples with you. As the lesson ends, I will give you some resources that you may want to explore if this topic ever arises again.

I had Sophie as a tutor last month. Although not professionally referred as a “tutor”, she was an incredible support for me while I was learning.
