About Mickey

Hello! My name is Cammie Marine, and I am an incoming high school senior with 4 1/2 years of Spanish under my belt, about to be 5 1/2! I've been taking Spanish classes since 8th grade, along with doing Duolingo over the summers to keep my Spanish fresh when I'm not in school. This upcoming school year, I'll be taking Spanish V, which is an opportunity that not many students get. Spanish V is when students get the chance to choose any topic related to Spanish they like, and spend the whole semester researching and making a final project on that topic! We call it an 'independent study'. My Spanish Independent study is revolving around plants! I've decided to combine my love of plants and my passion for Spanish into one, and I will be researching plants used for medicinal and culinary uses in all different Spanish-speaking countries! That's a little about me, and I would love to meet you!

About the lesson

- I like to ask students (or find out myself) what kind of teaching style works for them, and adapt my lessons to that. - A typical lesson plan would be focusing on the topics that I struggled with at first, and showing the student how I overcame those struggles and eventually learned the hardest of Spanish. - Lessons are for anyone that may need it! Whether you are an adult that wants to try something new, or a child that needs help with Spanish, I'm here and happy to be a part of it! - One thing that sets me apart from other tutors is that sometimes I get stumped, too. But I believe that sharing that is the first step to being able to get over it. It is not wrong to learn alongside your students sometimes, and it can even improve proficiency and memorization of the topic afterwards!
