About Shubhan
Hi! I'm a high school senior with a passion for helping students succeed on the ACT. I earned a 36 ACT superscore, and through my own preparation, I learned that success comes from mastering the test's patterns and strategies. Ultimately, the ACT and the SAT is a game, not one of memorization. I enjoy helping students develop those same skills so they can approach the exam with confidence.
Outside of tutoring, I'm involved in speech and debate, leadership organizations, and community service, all of which have strengthened my communication skills and ability to explain complex ideas clearly. My tutoring style is patient, encouraging, and personalized to each student's needs. Whether you're taking the ACT for the first time or trying to raise your score for college admissions, I'm committed to helping you reach your full potential and achieve your goals.

I believe the best way to improve your ACT score isn't by memorizing hundreds of tricks. It's by understanding WHY answers are correct and learning how to think through unfamiliar questions. My goal is to help students build confidence while developing strategies that they can apply on test day.
My lessons are tailored to each student's strengths and weaknesses. We begin by identifying which sections and question types are costing the most points, then create a focused plan to improve them. During each session, we'll review concepts, work through official ACT-style questions together, and discuss the reasoning behind every answer. I'll also share test-taking strategies, time management techniques, and common patterns that appear on the exam.
A typical lesson includes:
- Reviewing mistakes from previous practice or homework
- Learning or reinforcing a specific concept or strategy
- Solving practice questions together step by step
- Discussing efficient approaches and time-saving methods
- Creating a plan for independent practice before the next session
What sets me apart is that I've recently gone through the ACT process myself, so I understand the challenges students face and the strategies that actually make a difference. Rather than simply giving answers, I focus on teaching students how to approach questions with confidence and consistency. I aim to create a relaxed, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.
My lessons are designed for high school students preparing for the ACT, whether they're taking it for the first time or looking to raise their score before college applications. I can work with students at all skill levels, from those just starting their preparation to those aiming for top scores.
