About Connor
I'm a student, pursuing Atmospheric Sciences at Texas A&M University. Naturally, any science involving the atmosphere and weather will always be extremely math-heavy, so it was vital to be able to learn math properly.
I realized that for as long as people only spend as long as they do currently in math classes, they'll never be able to be taught the WHY of how mathematics works. So for as long as I've ever been in a math class, I've been doing just that; sitting across on someone else's desk, drawing diagrams and definitions across their page. I learned how to keep interest, I learned how to identify exactly what they don't understand (never ever being so ignorant as to say "that's just how it is"), and I learned just how much of a difference it made for them to understand exactly what it was they were being taught.

Math can be confusing. Many classes will simply teach you a formula and when to use it, but hardly ever teach you why it works. Of course, this will make it hard to understand what you're actually learning, and may even make it impossible to apply what you've learned to what you need on the test or even real life.
That's where I come in. I intend to make you feel like you could have taught this yourself; confident in where exactly the math comes from, and confident in every use. A typical lesson involves a review of what you've been taught, guided derivation of the subject as to promote familiarity, and then custom-made questions and real-life applications to provide further Socratic education. At that point, I can review any work you do carefully. My ultimate goal is that once I've had a lesson with you on a particular topic, you never even need to do schedule me for that topic again.
I can teach Algebra I and II, Geometry, College Algebra, Trigonometry, Precalculus, junior high mathematics, and their Advanced/Honors counterparts. While AP tests or SAT tests are on the way, I'll gladly work on lessons to practice and learn their content.
Further, I will provide answers to questions and concepts even outside of scheduled lessons, so long as they can be fulfilled in writing or a pre-recorded video.
