I am an English teacher. I studied BA Humanities at Stellenbosch University majoring in History and English. I also completed my PGCE through Stellenbosch University. I have been teaching for 4 years at High School level. I specialise in EFAL teaching.

I believe that learning a language should be done through engaging with texts (visual and written) and that proficiency in language can only be achieved by communication and using the language regularly. I will facilitate this engagement in a lesson. I rely on deductive methods in my teaching and want a learner to explore and engage with the work and learn through the experience rather than spoon-feeding. I am a bit quirky and eccentric so the lessons are sure to be entertaining.
