I use comprehensible input methods to make you comfortable hearing, reading, and speaking German. I start with basics such as showing you words from German you may already know, similar words in English, and then move into having you communicate on day 1.
For more advanced students, I work with them to see what they are interested in knowing or being able to talk about and tailor lessons to them. This could mean looking into Berlin graffiti culture, learning more about the life of an author, or experiencing the hip-hop scene in Germany.
I am different than other teachers because I work to make learning fun, specific to the student, and communicative, not focused on grammar and vocabulary only. I want you to be able to understand and use German in a meaningful way and to find what fits your learning style.
I am certified to teach preschool through 12th grade and have previously taught 101, 102, 201, and special topics courses on the college level, so I can help anyone learn, from kids to business professionals.
