About Lars

Hi, I'm Eivind. I'm a Finance & Economics graduate with a genuine passion for helping students build confidence in economics, English and related subjects.

I hold a Master of Finance & Economics from the University of Queensland, where I graduated with High Distinction and received the Dean's Commendation for Academic Excellence in both 2023 and 2024. I also hold a BA in Politics & Economics from King's College London.

My tutoring experience comes directly from the classroom. As a Senior Tutor at the University of Queensland, I delivered tutorials for undergraduate and postgraduate finance and economics courses, designed assessment materials, and provided one-to-one academic support tailored to each student's needs. I know how to break down complex financial and economic concepts, from corporate finance and econometrics to risk analysis and international trade, into clear, manageable steps.

I currently work in strategy consulting, supporting global consulting and private equity firms with research and analysis, so I bring a practical, real-world lens to the subjects I teach alongside strong academic grounding.

Whether you're working towards GCSEs, A-Levels, the IB, or university level coursework in Economics, English, Finance or related subjects, I focus on building genuine understanding rather than just exam technique, so the knowledge sticks beyond the test.

I'm fluent in English and Norwegian, conversant in Danish and Swedish, and always patient, structured, and encouraging in my approach.

About the lesson

My teaching focuses on building core conceptual mastery, analytical rigour, and targeted exam technique. Having earned a Master’s in Finance & Economics (High Distinction) alongside experience as a University Senior Tutor, I adapt my approach to each student's specific learning style.

Lessons typically run for 60 minutes (with 90-minute options for advanced exam preparation). We begin with a quick concept check, move into interactive problem-solving, and conclude with real exam-style application to solidify understanding.

These sessions are tailored for high school, International Baccalaureate (IB), and university-level students aiming for top-tier academic results in economics, finance, and quantitative subjects.
