About Ty

Hi, my name is Ty. I graduated from Cairns State High School in 2025, where I proudly served as School Captain. I’m now studying a Bachelor of Biomedical Science at QUT, with plans to continue into a Master of Medicine. I’m extremely passionate about math and science, but I also have a genuine love for writing and communication. I believe that being able to explain complex ideas clearly is just as important as understanding them — and that’s something I bring into every lesson I teach. I excelled throughout my senior years in my senior English subjects, consistently receiving perfect scores, something I only believe was possible through practice and understanding of the skills and techniques of the English language. Throughout high school, I had the opportunity to tutor students from primary school up to Year 11, which helped me develop strong teaching and communication skills. I take a personalized approach to tutoring, adapting my teaching style to suit each student’s needs, learning preferences, and personality. I’ve found that when lessons are relatable and engaging, students not only perform better but also gain confidence in their abilities.

About the lesson

I offer tutoring for students from primary school through to Year 12, tailoring my teaching style to suit each student’s individual needs and learning preferences.

The subjects I teach are ones I have personally studied, which helps me connect with students on their level and make learning engaging, relevant, and effective. This personal connection often leads to stronger motivation and improved academic results.

For senior students, I offer tutoring in the following QCAA subjects:
• Mathematical Methods
• General English
• Literature
• English and Literature Extension
• Chemistry
• Biology
• Psychology

My lesson times are flexible, and I’m always happy to arrange sessions that fit around your schedule.
