About Kam

As a dedicated and exceptional student of English Literature, I am passionate about education and empowering students to reach their full potential. With what experience I have in tutoring English part-time, I have honed my skills in simplifying complex concepts and creating a positive and engaging learning environment. I am dedicated to tailoring my teaching approach to meet the unique needs of each student, ensuring a personalised and effective learning experience. Through my dynamic teaching methods and a genuine enthusiasm for the subject matter, I strive to make learning enjoyable and accessible. Choosing me as your tutor ensures academic improvement, as well as producing a brilliant and well-informed student.

About the lesson

I am a hardworking and motivated person that strives for exceptionality and perfection. I would say my lessons are aimed at people who struggle to conceptualise some areas of English whether that be in school or outside of it. I have tutored children before in my school using the "Peer Tutoring' programme and really enjoyed it, and my pupils showed a real increase in their understanding and enthusiasm for the subject of English. One of my students in year 10 went from a predicted grade 2 (fail) in English Literature, to a grade 6 (High B) in her final GCSE exam, and she credited me as one of the biggest driving forces behind her skills at English. My lessons will consist of going over key English terms and language devices, practising and revising these with my pupil, and encouraging them to do homework in their free time, which will then be marked and gone over in lessons. The lessons will also involve teaching them key skills for English comprehension, speaking and writing, which I have picked up as a top grade English student, but also as a semi-experienced tutor.
