My name is Anika, and I am a high-achieving student at Cox Mill High School with a 4.375 GPA and strong performance in honors-level coursework. I take my academic responsibilities seriously and bring a disciplined, organized approach to everything I do. Through peer tutoring, leadership experience in youth programs, and having a younger sister of my own, I have developed strong communication skills and the ability to explain difficult concepts in a clear and patient way. My name is Anika, and my teaching approach focuses on making math and English Language Arts clear, structured, and approachable for every student. I start by identifying each student’s strengths and areas for improvement, then adjust my explanations to match their learning style. I use step-by-step problem-solving for math and guided reading and writing strategies for ELA to build both understanding and confidence. A typical lesson includes reviewing previous material, working through practice problems or passages together, and ending with targeted practice to reinforce skills. What sets me apart is my experience mentoring younger students through peer tutoring and leadership roles in summer camps, which has taught me patience and adaptability. I aim to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and improving at their own pace. These lessons are designed for elementary, middle school, and early high school students who need help building strong academic foundations in math and English.
