About Neri Luiz

- I have been tutoring Physics and Mathematics since 2009 and I have noticed the common doubts that the students usually have in the exercises and which analogies works for the understanding of the subjects. - I have given physics classes to the EJA, high school and college, so that I know the various types of difficulties that arise in the learning of this discipline. "Some of my students are amazed when I show them mathematical tricks that greatly simplify their life in solving exercises. There was even one who said that I "stole" mathematics (rs). "I once helped a colleague who was a graduate of Mathematics and had no more expectations of passing Calculus for the second time. So I was helping and his average was surpassing that of the class and then, well ... not only did he go beyond Calculus but he would like to do a Masters in Calculus. I realized that I really can make a difference in people's lives. - Recently I was praised in the teaching of Thermodynamics by my UFMS students. Thermodynamics is the most complex subject, conceptually speaking, of basic physics.

About the lesson

I believe that motivation is the basis for opening the mind to receive and incorporate the new knowledge. Many people underestimate this stage and do not absorb or absorb in an incorrect way the concepts studied, or even end up owning them in a momentary way, which is harmful especially in exact where new knowledge depends on the previous one. Our brain and body form a powerful symbiosis whose most of its potential is often underutilized. I have knowledge of neurolinguistics, about the functioning of the brain, its biochemistry and its relation to the body. Such knowledge is fundamental to increase your performace as a student. I try to balance theory with examples and activities for the student to do. Meaningful learning happens when the student is able to solve an exercise and explain how he or she has been able to solve it.
