I try to start teaching from the basics, examining weither the student has got a sound foundation or not. If he still needs to clear some concepts , I do that first. And as I am teaching algebra, a part of Mathematics, I will make the student solve more sums than what I will do while teaching him/her, which will help to gain confidence and clear the ideas
