About Christel
Hi! I’m a Lead User Experience Researcher, creative mentor, and former Teaching Assistant at Carleton University with over 8 years of experience leading research-driven projects across the government and private companies. I hold both undergraduate and graduate degrees in Industrial Design and research-related fields, where my work focused on human-centered design, systems thinking, research methods and creative problem-solving.
During my time at Carleton, I worked closely with students through mentorship, critiques, and academic support, and had the opportunity to travel with students to present and participate in projects that received recognition and awards. Throughout my own academic and professional career, I have also received recognition for my leadership, research, creativity, and contributions to large-scale digital initiatives.
My background combines research, storytelling, design thinking, communication, and creativity, which allows me to help students and professionals build confidence in how they think, write, present, and solve problems. I’m passionate about making complex ideas easier to understand and helping others develop strong analytical and communication skills in a supportive and engaging environment.
