About Gavin
I am a calm, patient, and supportive professional with many years' experience working closely with young people in a 1-2-1 support role, helping others build confidence in a safe, non-judgemental environment. I previously worked as a private English tutor/mentor in Taiwan, where I supported learners through shared reading and conversation.
I have a strong passion for reading and believe it should feel relaxed, enjoyable, and be accessible for everyone, whatever their age or starting point. My approach is warm, encouraging, and focused on helping people build confidence at their own pace.

My sessions are relaxed, supportive, and completely non-judgemental.
Rather than formal teaching, I offer calm one-to-one reading companionship where we read together at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
We can take turns reading aloud, pause to discuss words or meanings, and ask questions at any time without pressure or embarrassment.
Sessions are ideal for adults, teens, and English learners who want to build confidence, improve fluency, or simply enjoy reading in a safe and encouraging environment.
Lessons typically last 30-60 minutes. I have experience supporting young people professionally and previously worked as a private English tutor/mentor in Taiwan, where I helped young learners develop confidence and understanding through shared reading and conversation.
