About Adam
I was a student who genuinely found maths challenging. I remember struggling on some of the most basic concepts, from GCSE to A Level, so I understand any struggles my students are facing. I have had a year's experience tutoring children from year 7 to 8 who struggled with maths in their classes and needed extra assistance once a week which taught me extensive skills of how to help students from any skill level and learning difficulty. I am currently a first year student at the university of Southampton studying aerospace engineering.

I focus very much on confidence rather than predictions on exams. The way to secure a 9 with confidence is being able to find maths intuitive and second nature, which is something I aim for with my students. To achieve this, my lessons heavily will lean towards concept teaching and consolidation of knowledge for students in year 10 or early year 11. Early or mid year 11 I will heavily lean towards exam practice and technique to ensure you understand what's asked of you in the exam and how to not be stumped at any question. I also offer fundamentals teaching for students struggling with the basics of maths, like early algebra or fractions (year 7 to 9).

Adam is extremely talented when it comes to maths and is great at explaining complex equations by breaking them down. He teaches using analogies to contextualises maths so it becomes easier to understand. He used to help me during my chemistry A-level (specifically with maths questions) and my grade went up by 2 grades.
