About Nomuundari

Hello, my name is Nomuundari or in short Nomi, and I am from Mongolia. I have just graduated high school and beginning university at Yale-NUS College. I believe that being a fresh graduate puts me in a particularly advantageous position as I understand and relate to the struggles my students are facing. In my senior year, I was overwhelmed during my exam season and because of Covid-19, I felt far from my teachers. The online classes were just not good enough. I had to teach myself many of the concepts. I wanted to start tutoring other students like me because I wanted to let them know that it can be done. I trust my experiences will be valuable to my students because I was one of them before. I believe with my insights into past papers and the course will help us succeed.

About the lesson

My approach to teaching centers on the student and areas they want to work on and review. Most classes will consist of teaching the subject and then ending with a review. I like to work hand in hand with students by using textbooks, videos, slides, and questions. One lesson will typically last 60 - 80 minutes depending on the student. I have tutored kids in high school in biology, English, and math. My lessons are mostly for students trying to better understand biology and study for the A-Level Biology exams. Once we are done with the subjects we will do past papers and examine test strategies together. I will also do past papers along with the student and guide them on how to answer certain questions.
