About Qiongyuan

Hello,I'm Crystal and you can call me fú lǎoshī.I have more than five years of experience in teaching Chinese, and I hold the International Chinese Teacher Qualification Certificate and the Mandarin Certificate. My Major is in teaching Chinese as a Second Language.I do hope you are able to improve your Chinese with the help of my solid professional foundation and rich teaching skills.In my daily life, I like sports and traveling especially yoga and mountain climbing.

About the lesson

In my class, I will adjust the teaching content according to the level of the students, and I will teach in a variety of ways. I like to use the "i+1" principle, the principle of fun and interactive teaching, so that students can give full play to their initiative and enthusiasm in learning Chinese.Pinyin, new words, sentences, grammar and Chinese characters are the main contents of Chinese learning.

If you are a zero-based learner, my course arrangement is as follows: In the first stage, you will focus on learning pronunciation and simple daily expressions, and you will also learn some Chinese culture and simple Chinese characters; In the second stage, you will focus on thematic teaching, and the topics will involve daily life and work such as shopping, asking for directions, moving, returning goods, etc. At this time, students can reach HSK Level 3-4. In the third stage, students can express their daily needs fluently in Chinese and recognize Chinese characters commonly used in life.

I am a native Chinese speaker and can speak Cantonese and English. My overall IELTS score is over 6. I have coached students to successfully pass HSK level 1-4 exams, the US AP Chinese exam and the UK IGCSE exam. I also teach business Chinese. I worked as a Chinese tutor at the United Nations Language Exchange Center.
