About Mark
I work for a local EMT school in Southern California, teaching EMT students the knowledge and skills required to enter the field of EMS. I also have experience working as a volunteer tutor, a research lead, a nonprofit consultant, an EMT in the field, and as a Resident Assistant. These roles have taught me how to work with a variety of people to make them feel comfortable and motivated in difficult settings.

I am a big fan of breaking topics down to their most basic components. I believe understanding the "why" behind any new piece of information does wonders in being able to not only understand what is being taught, but also to be able to apply that knowledge to new scenarios. I am also a big believer in utilizing active learning through frequent and consistent practice questions.
