About Maia
I have been tutoring mathematics for over 7 years. I have taught various ages and math topics. My student's grades have improved tremendously whether it is a grade level or double the grade they had before meeting with me. I have made wonderful connections with my students and their families and I value their hard work and commitment to understanding a complex topic.

As an educator, my technology philosophy revolves around relevance, productive struggle, community, and experiential learning. As a tutor, I do my best to apply my teaching values to every session. Before each lesson, I would like the student to send me what they are working on. I will review and will plan to work on those specific questions or I will create my own. Depending on what the student needs, I am able to tutor in a way that will help each individual the most!
