About Frances

Hi! I am a 22 year old college student who is currently pursuing a major in mathematics with a biology concentrate. I have experience with all ages (K-12, college students, and adults). I can also tutor in subjects other than mathematics by request (Level: K-6). I have been on the dean's list of the mathematics department since my freshman year of college (2018) and continue to pursue excellence in my studies and personal life.

About the lesson

"Reserve your right to think, for even to think wrongly is better than not to think at all."
- Hypatia of Alexandria

I am passionate about helping students reach their academic goals. As mathematics is one of the more difficult subjects to embrace, I believe mastering the basics goes a long way with the process of appreciating and learning the subject. I like to take the time to identify where the student is struggling and help in those areas while assisting with new material provided to the student by the school. With that, the teaching style I use also encourages curiosity and embraces mistakes in order for the student to learn from them. In helping students conquer these areas, they are preparing themselves for excellence in academics and other goals and aspirations.

Perfect! Very nice person! Explains everything throughly and makes sure I’m understanding everything well! Ever since I’ve started working with Francis I’m having a better understanding in math and I’ve gotten a lot of work done. She is amazing with scheduling and making sure I’m reminded about my sessions that are coming up. Thank you so much for helping me and my parents!! I feel confident and well connected with you as a tutor :)
