About Sophie

I'm an understanding, thoughtful and organized student who graduated from the IB in May 2026, and despite difficulties in my IB journey, I managed to rapidly increase my grades and achieve especially strong grades and knowledge in Geography and English Literature HL. I achieved a 7/7 in Geography, a 6/7 in Spanish Ab Initio and a 6/7 in English Literature, and completed my IB at a school with the second-highest average IB score in Singapore for the May 2026 exams. Throughout the course of my IB years, I worked with many experienced IB teachers and with my peers, allowing me to develop simple and easy learning techniques. Alongside this, I managed to increase my grades rapidly in both of these subjects in Year 13 due to some techniques and methods I can teach you!

About the lesson

Within the IB I have offered informal help to my friends and younger peers, and have been able to give them specific advice, guidance, and techniques that have raised their grades rather rapidly. Formally, I have experience working with children and young people and enjoy creating a friendly, supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace.

A lesson with me would typically be around an hour long, but this can change depending on the needs of my student. My lessons are targeted towards students in Year 12 or Year 13 studying the IBDP, particularly in HL Geography, HL English Literature, or SL Spanish Ab Initio.

In terms of exam results, I achieved a 7/7 in Geography HL, 6/7 in Spanish Ab Initio and a 6/7 in English Literature HL, finishing just two points short of a 7, alongside 20/20 on my English HL Essay and 34/40 on Paper 1. I completed the IB at a top IB school in Singapore for the May 2026 exams, where experienced teachers gave me a strong understanding of IB assessment expectations and exam technique. Because of this, I am equipped with a variety of skills, especially those targeted to the very fast-paced nature of the IB. Personally, I had lower attendance in those two years due to personal issues, but through these different techniques and methods I was able to catch up to speed, and managed to achieve performance I aimed for.
