About Jack

My name is Jack, and I am an 18-year-old student with a deep love for the guitar. I've been playing for over 8 years. Music has always been a huge part of my life, and guitar has been a big way to express myself. I love recording and mixing music. I want to teach because I believe that anyone, at any level, can learn and enjoy the guitar. My approach is to make learning guitar fun, engaging, and practical, helping you build both technique and creativity in music.

About the lesson

With over 8 years of experience in guitar, specializing in blues, jazz and funk, I take a personalized approach to teaching. Whether you're just starting out or are looking to refine your skills at an advanced level, my lessons are designed to meet you where you are and guide you towards your goals. I believe in making sure students foster a deep understanding of music theory and how I will relate theory directly back to what you are learning, furthering your understanding. Understanding chords, scales, modes and improvisation allows you to become a more versatile guitarist. Technique development and ear training are skills that will be picked up while learning through these lessons. My lessons range from a 30-minute lesson to a 1-hour lesson. In each session, I aim to balance theory and guitar technique, making sure to keep it all engaging while you're progressing. I tailor each lesson to meet what my student needs, so whether you're just a beginner learning basic chords or an advanced guitarist refining your improvisation, I will try to help and push the boundaries of your playing.
