About the lesson

Hello everyone. I'm a UK based primary-trained teacher who also has experience of teaching in KS3, primarily in maths and English. I have taught in years 1, 4, 5 and 6, more recently establishing myself as a year 6 SATs specialist. I have 9 years experience in English primary classrooms. I am an experienced KS2 and KS3 SATs marker, having marked for the exam board, Edexcel, for the past 8 years. I have an MA in Education from the Institute of Education (IOE), which is widely regarded as the best university in the world for education and teacher training.

I believe that tutoring should be instantly reactive and address misconceptions as soon as they arise. Personalised learning should be at the heart of one-to-one lessons and online sessions have made this ever more affordable and accessible.

I aim to make each student feel at ease and am a strong believer that talk is a powerful tool for learning. I believed my extensive classroom experience can make a positive impact on your child's education, be that in KS1, KS2 or in KS3. I have had great success at providing support for entrance exams to selective schools and am happy to coach for both verbal and non-verbal reasoning tests.
