About Martha
I have a lot of experience with children with Autism, ADHD and ASD, as well as working with children with a range of more complex needs. My current teaching job made me realise I have a passion for working with students of all ages and capabilities.
Therefore, I am intending to apply for a teaching degree once I have completed my Bachelor's. Becoming a teacher is my dream job as I have loved being able to help children throughout their academic journey, as well as helping them gain their confidence in and out of school!

I have completed GCSEs, A-Level (English language and literature), an Access to Higher Education course (psychology, criminology and sociology) and I am currently studying psychology at university. I also work part time as a teaching assistant in SEN schools across the West Midlands.
I have found the best way to build an effective student-teacher relationship is by being able to have a laugh! It's important students can see their teacher as someone they can talk to as this helps build confidence in and out of the classroom. I have found this very effective with many of the students I currently work with as it creates a fun, calm and positive working atmosphere.
As I am currently a university student - and having only left school 4 years ago - I know school can be tough. Learning new subjects and balancing lots of different classes can cause stress, as well as things that may be happening outside the classroom. I fully empathise with this, so I make it my mission to help students however I can.
I will help you with your classes and you can always ask me questions about my experiences, my current degree and how I navigated life once leaving school:)
