About Tyler

Personally, I have years of experience working with children as well as adolescents in both a professional and caregiver type setting.

I value results over anything else and am the type of tutor who will honestly tell you exactly how it is. If there are areas that I can improve in teaching, I am always open to suggestions from my students as to what is effective for them.

This works in both respects, as if I need more from my students I have no issue telling them exactly where.

I wholeheartedly believe there is no such thing as not being a "science" or "math" person. While there may some natural ability, with the right method any student can grow to grasp the concepts with mastery.

About the lesson

Teaching methodology focuses on understanding as opposed to wrote memorization. This avoids the issue of having students being able to complete concepts during the lesson, but struggle to apply them to an exam or test. Different variations of practice problems ensure that students are able to apply skills from one concept to another.

As a tutor, I work with each student to explain the logic behind applying skills. Teaching application is the critical factor between getting an 'okay' grade, as opposed to an excellent one.

My goal is to enable students to earn competitive marks to ensure they can get into whatever program they choose.
