About Helena
Hi, I’m Helena! When I’m not teaching, I enjoy cycling, travelling and making LEGO flowers for my dining table. I love swimming too, although I’m definitely not the fastest swimmer!
I became a teacher because I love finding out how children learn. Everyone has their own way of understanding things, and I’d like to discover what works best for you. If a topic feels tricky, we can slow down, try a different approach and work through it together. You can ask questions, make mistakes and have another go—that’s all part of learning.
In our online lessons, we’ll use activities and conversation to make learning fun and interesting. I can help you practise a subject, build your confidence or prepare for a school test. We’ll celebrate what you can already do and take the next steps at a pace that feels right for you.

Primary Tutoring and Home Education Support
I have taught in primary schools in the UK and China and have many years of experience as a tutor. I offer online tutoring for primary-aged children, including SATs preparation, revision and support across English, maths, science, geography, history, PSHE and art. I also work with UK-based home-educating families to support their children’s wider primary learning.
I enjoy getting to know each child and adapting lessons to their age, interests and abilities. Learning should be enjoyable, encouraging and free from unnecessary stress. My sessions combine wellbeing activities, new skills, time to reflect and home-based activities that help children practise what they have learned. Lessons last from 45 to 90 minutes, depending on your child’s needs.
I value a positive relationship with parents, too. By getting to know your family and working together, we can make sure your child feels supported and makes progress both during lessons and at home.
