About Yuni

I have been fortunate to receive an exceptional musical education and am enthusiastic to share the knowledge I have accumulated over the past 14 years. Having studied at the Royal Academy of Music Primary Academy and the Royal College of Music Junior Department for four years, I have learnt from many outstanding teachers, such as Victoria Grigoreva and I am confident that I can emulate their excellence in my lessons if you become my student. My achievements include an exceptionally high A in Music A Level, a 9 in Music GCSE and grade 5 and 6 music theory. I had completed all grades (1-8) for violin by the age of 14 and can provide extensive knowledge of these exam processes (if interested). Additionally, I hold a DipABRSM for violin which I achieved at the age of 16. I have had the delight of performing at prestigious venues such as Cadogan Hall and Queen Elizabeth Hall. I have tutored piano students, helping them excel in their musical studies. My experience extends beyond individual tutoring; I was a part of the National Children's Orchestra and have received numerous awards and medals at the Reigate and Redhill Festival. I was awarded music scholarships at both secondary school and university, a testament to my commitment to music. I am passionate about helping others reach their musical potential and ultimately passing on the knowledge I have gained throughout my musical journey. Friendly and approachable, I strive to build strong, trusting relationships with my students, fostering a love for music. Whether preparing for exams, performances, or simply learning for enjoyment, I am committed to guiding my students.

About the lesson

My lessons are structured to include a balanced mix of technical exercises, musical interpretation, and performance practice, ensuring that students develop both technical proficiency and expressive artistry. I will be primarily focused on enabling a supportive and engaging learning environment where students can thrive and I will incorporate each unique student's strengths and weaknesses into the lesson structure. *Please note I will only be able to teach in person during holiday seasons. Term time will be online as I am attending university.
