About Jennifer
Getting to the point where you feel comfortable in a conversation is the main objective of our time together. I suppose you could say that my goal is to make every minute count toward your long-term success. My BA in ESL allows me to target the specific gaps in your grammar foundations or interview preparation. We use a dedicated homework module that provides detailed feedback after every single class session.
Students ranging from adults to IELTS candidates find that this steady rhythm helps them retain information more effectively. We will work on your presentation skills and listening comprehension through exercises that mirror real-world interactions. You will find that these small, manageable steps lead to significant improvements in your everyday English use. There is always a way to improve.

Growing up with an interest in linguistics led me to complete a BA in French and ESL at the University of Toronto. I have spent 13 years developing systems that make English accessible for newcomers across Canada.
Teaching 382 students has given me a deep appreciation for the unique hurdles each person faces. I focus on grammar foundations and business English to help you navigate professional environments. My approach is rooted in the personal narrative of building systems for the bilingual journey.
I am quite direct when explaining complex TOEFL preparation strategies or presentation skills. You can expect me to be energetic while we work through your listening comprehension challenges. It is satisfying to see adult learners and IELTS candidates find their voice in a new language.
