About Kathleen
I moved to the UK from Canada in 2011 to teach secondary school maths. I am passionate about the subject and want students to feel confident about their abilities and the subject. I love seeing students figure out difficult problems or tackle areas they once found difficult. Those ‘light-bulb’ moments are what make teaching the best job!

I have 13 years teaching experience in secondary school maths. I am currently working as a Head of Maths in Harlow for students in years 7-11. Having created many schemes of work for KS3 and KS4 maths, I have a lot of experience making and delivering lessons to students with a wide range of prior knowledge and confidence. The aim of each lesson is to help students correct misconceptions and become more confident with the subject material as well as be more confident in themselves.
