• Closing Foundational Gaps: I realize that a student struggling with mathematics often actually has a "hole" in their Algebra knowledge, and they stop to fix that first.
• Active Feedback Loops: I provide immediate, specific feedback rather than waiting until the end of a session.
Scaffolding is the process of providing just enough support so the student can complete a task they couldn't do alone, then slowly removing that support.
• The "Socratic" Method: Instead of giving the answer, I ask a question that leads the student to the next step.
• Minimal Intervention: I know when to stay quiet and let the student struggle productively.
