About Hilda
I am a native Spanish speaker with more than 20 years of teaching experience. I hold a PhD in Literacy, Culture, and Language with a specialization in Second Language Acquisition, which gives me a deep understanding of how students learn languages effectively. My classes follow a communicative approach—dynamic, hands-on, and focused on real-life use of Spanish. I design each lesson around the interests and goals of the student so that learning feels meaningful, motivating, and enjoyable.

I plan every lesson around the interests, goals, and learning style of the student—whether you want to improve your speaking skills, prepare for travel, strengthen your grammar, or develop academic Spanish. I incorporate authentic materials, interactive exercises, and plenty of opportunities to speak. My goal is to create a supportive environment where you feel comfortable, motivated, and excited to learn.
