I explain my students with life related examples which make the concepts easy. Like what is natural numbers. Answer is "the numbers we use in our daily life in a natural way like 1 book 2 pens 3 slices of bread so 1,2,3 ... And so on are natural numbers. Now in whole numbers ,here we can see 'o' in whole number speling so relate "o" with zero "0".Which is extra number in whole numbers so the whole numbers are 0,1,2,3..... . Now we need some some numbers to show debt borrowing deficit for that we require some negative numbers like -1,-2,-3...... There is also a case of no profit and no loss so we include zero
