About Jorg
My name is Jörg Raffenberg. I was born in South Africa, born of German parents but attended English schools throughout my school years. I then attended an English University for 5 years where I did a Bachelor's Degree followed by a Higher Degree of Education and an Honours degree. I first started teaching at a High School, later became a Principal of a Primary School for 20 years after which I left for China where I taught for 8 and half years. I am back in South Africa and would like to continue with online lessons.

I have been teaching for the last 40 years, I love interacting with students from grade 1 to grade 7. I find conversational English important to enable foreign students to gain confidence in speaking English. Phonics is also an important teaching tool which assists young learners to learn to write English. Finding the learners' level of reading skills is also very important.
