About Emily
I’m a Harvard graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and a Master’s degree in Urban Planning. My academic background gave me strong quantitative, writing, and critical thinking skills, while my professional experience in finance and real estate development taught me how to solve complex problems clearly and efficiently.
I’ve always valued education not just as a way to get good grades, but as a tool for building confidence and independence. As a tutor, I aim to make challenging material feel approachable and manageable. I break concepts down into clear steps, adapt to each student’s learning style, and create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions.
I work with students in math, English, writing, and test prep through the high school level. Whether a student needs help catching up, staying organized, preparing for an exam, or pushing toward top performance, I tailor sessions to their specific goals.
My approach is patient, encouraging, and results-oriented. I want students to leave sessions not only with stronger skills, but with greater confidence in their ability to succeed.
