About Adaeze

Hello, all! My name is Adaeze, and I look just like your new study buddy!

Some info about me: I am a Harvard College admit who will begin study at the University this fall, but I was also admitted to Yale University and Columbia University as a John Jay Scholar—so when it comes to college preparation, I know what works! I also graduated from an elite high school with Cum Laude distinction, so I know how to get my academics in check. Needless to say—I can be a great help to embarking on the college process!

For those of you who aren't, I can still be of great use! My organization, patience, and explanation skills will make my mathematics and English tutoring sessions a smooth, fun experience for you. I am also quite flexible and understanding—despite my strong academic record, I have made mistakes and fallen behind before. It happens! I won't judge you; what matters is building stronger foundations and moving forward with a zest for knowledge.

Hello, everyone! My name is Adaeze, and I look just like your new English tutor! :)

Having gone through middle school focused on STEM yet transforming into a student whose writing skills were revered throughout her high school, I know the difference that constructive feedback and the right mindset can make in your journey to become a better writer. As I began writing A papers time after time, I felt myself gain confidence in my abilities as a writer and think of the practice of writing less as a formulaic hit-or-miss and more as a powerful mode of expression. This is exactly why my approach is one focused not on pedantry, but on communication, style, and clarity.

As a tutor, my lesson plan consists mainly of the student's homework, any special concerns the student may have going into the tutoring session, and occasional writing exercises if necessary. I may also assign homework upon necessity or request, but we will complete nearly all of the resources in-session so I can better gauge student capabilities in real-time. However, I intend to maintain flexibility throughout the session so that your student's needs can be organically and individually met!
