About Coco
I am in my last year at NYU, and trust me when I say I understand how difficult the German language learning process can be.
I grew up speaking German, but when it came to learning it as a language I found grasping the grammar concepts and sentence structures quite challenging. However I know that if they are explained and taught the right way, it it‘s not so hard after all!
All of my family lives in Germany, so I understand how German’s actually speak. This makes me able to give clear guidance to how one should be pronouncing words.
I love this language and the journey it takes to learn it. This fuels my lessons and I hope that you can take part in that joy with me!

I tailor my lesson plans to each individual students needs At the core of my lessons is immersion based learning! This is proven to be the best way to learn a language, and from my experience proves is most effective way to learn.
My lessons are normally entirely in German, with English only being used if a definition is not clear.
Depending on the age of my students, I like to play games to associate German vocabulary with concepts. This allows for the student to make a connection with the language to concepts they already know.
I am able to tutor a wide range of ages, from kindergarten through High School. If a student is taking German in school I am more than happy to take a look at what they are learning about or what their homework looks like, and adjust the lesson to their needs!
