About Alejandro

SO, I'm Alejandro. I've been in love with playing guitar since I was 11 and I picked up the bass as early as 6 years of age and have been jamming with my exceptionally musical family since then. (One could say it's in the genes!) As of current, I've played in numerous rock bands and have a great understanding of electric guitar technique, fundamental theory and a proficiency in jamming and playing or composing more advanced riffs and solos in a band scenario. (My primary specialities include playing and composing rhythmically complex riffs and composing darker/more eerie harmonies, akin to bands like Radiohead.)

About the lesson

My ultimate goal for any student is to prepare them to have the proper technique, ability, theoretical knowledge and fluency in order to thrive and feel confident playing in bands or with other musicians. I can teach beginners to intermediate players and slightly more advanced players too. Depending on your area of interest or current knowledge, I can specialise in teaching technique, theory or compositional skills in a band setting, or alternatively a bit of all three! I will provide my first lesson completely FREE OF CHARGE as I understand it is difficult finding a teacher you work well with at first and are ultimately compatible with. For the first lesson, I usually start by improvising something simple to teach you that is accustomed to your skill level and a bit of a chat at first to get to know you and your goals going forward with the lessons. (I thought I should also mention I am neurodivergent and work particularly well with ADHD and Autistic people!) Lesson time is flexible. Obviously no shorter than 30 minutes and no longer than 3 hours. If it's 3 hours, I'll recommend the session goes for 3 hours 30 minutes to make time for 10 minute breaks in between each hour, 30 minutes not included in the payment obviously).
