About Caled

I’ve been playing guitar for around 15 years with experience across a wide range of styles, including pop, country, rock, heavy metal, Spanish flamenco and percussive guitar.

For me, guitar has always been about more than just learning chords. I love finding ways to make one guitar sound as full and expressive as possible. I also play percussive acoustic guitar, combining rhythm, chords, melody and percussion on the guitar itself.

As a tutor, I want to make learning guitar enjoyable, relaxed and suited to what you actually want to play. If there’s a particular artist, song or style you love, we can use that as a starting point while developing your technique, rhythm and confidence along the way.

Whether you’re a complete beginner, already know the basics or want to explore fingerstyle and percussive techniques, I’ll adapt the lessons around your level and goals.

Most importantly, I want you to come away from lessons feeling like you can easily pick up a guitar and play your favourite tune!

About the lesson

My lessons are built around you and the kind of guitarist you want to become.

If you’re a complete beginner, we can start with the essentials: chords, strumming, rhythm, chord changes and learning full songs. As you progress, we can move into more advanced techniques such as fingerstyle, solos and even percussive acoustic guitar if interested.

Rather than following the exact same programme with every student, I tailor lessons to your musical taste. If you want to learn a particular song, bring it along and we can break it down together easily.

Lessons can include:

• Learning your favourite songs
• Chords and smooth chord changes
• Strumming patterns and rhythm
• Acoustic and electric guitar techniques
• Fingerstyle guitar
• Percussive acoustic guitar
• Developing timing and musical confidence
• Techniques for making your playing sound more natural and expressive
