About Marco

My name is Marco Piccioni, I am Italian.
I’m a 47 y/o Blues Rock & Jazz guitarist and singer based in London, UK.
A graduate from Berklee College of Music, I have studied with master guitarists and composers Julien Kasper, Jon Damian and Michael Williams.
I have worked as a side man and leader since 2003, in New York, Italy and UK.
As a solo artist, I have recorded two albums, “Waterflight” with my Quartet, published by DDE-Records in 2005, and “Far” with my Trio published independently in 2015.
I am also part of the Modal Contemporary band Collocutor by Tamar Osborn, and worked with various UK artists, including Fiona Ross, Julia Biel, the Dele Sosimi Afrobeat Orchestra, Cleveland Watkiss, Lekan Babalola, Joe Lewis.

As a teacher and lecturer, I currently lead the London Music Artist Academy, helping Music Artists to develop a Music Career. In the past I led the Artist Development Programme at Access Creative in London. I teach privately Blues Jazz Rock Guitar. I also lead various Songwriting and Music workshops around the UK.

Through years of teaching, coaching, and supporting wonderful Music Artists, I have witnessed how a good understanding of the artistic media, like a musical instrument, and awareness of the creative identity can merge into a unique personal expression.
It is the light that gives value to life and brings true happiness.

The goal of any creative person should be to find his/her own voice, I can help the students in this noble endeavour.

Learning and developing skills and creativity is a life long commitment, there’s no arrival end. It’s a continuous, beautifully challenging, and inspiring journey.
It’s alive.

Developing as a Music Artist, regardless where your focus lies, is enhanced by knowing Music harmony, mastering specific technical skills, and the ability to improvise, to create in the moment, giving voice to the subconscious.

Exploring the personal creative identity at a deeper level is the key; it can be achieved in many ways, it begins with self-awareness, and a healthy life-style.

Ideas then need to take form, and they have to be-come what we dreamt and felt of.
Compositions, songs, riffs, solos, will become real independent entities, and the practitioner will know how to present them, authentically.
