About Siena

I’m a guitar tutor with over 12 years of experience and a Bachelor of Arts in Music, specializing in guitar performance. My lessons are tailored to each student’s goals, whether you’re just starting out or aiming for professional mastery. I focus on fingerstyle techniques, blues improvisation, soloing, and chordal theory to build a strong musical foundation. I teach students across all levels, from beginners to advanced players, with a supportive and motivating approach. My experience spans multiple genres, including rock, funk, jazz, and folk, allowing me to bring diverse styles into our lessons. I believe learning guitar should be both challenging and fun, balancing technical skills with creative expression. Together, we’ll work on developing your unique musical voice while improving your technique and understanding of music theory. I’m passionate about helping students gain confidence and enjoy every step of their musical journey. Let’s explore the world of guitar together, one string at a time!

About the lesson

My guitar teaching approach focuses on building strong fundamentals while encouraging creativity and personal style. I teach classical fingerpicking techniques to develop precision and control. Staff reading is an important part of my lessons, helping students understand music deeply and play with confidence. I also introduce hybrid picking techniques, blending fingerstyle and pick use for versatile playing. Tonal control is another key focus, teaching students how to shape their sound to suit different styles.

I understand that many students want to express themselves fully and push boundaries. I support those who love to experiment and create their own music. My lessons are flexible to match each student’s goals, whether they want to record, perform live, or simply enjoy playing. I balance technical exercises with fun challenges to keep learning exciting.

I emphasize regular practice routines and clear goals to help students see steady progress. Encouragement and honest feedback guide each step of the way. My goal is to help every student find their unique voice on the guitar and excel in their musical journey.
