About Henry
Guitar has been a central part of my life, and teaching it allows me to share my passion, experience, and knowledge with others. Holding Bachelor’s degrees in Music, I have spent years performing, studying, and mentoring students across all skill levels. My lessons focus on building strong foundations in posture, finger placement, chord transitions, strumming, rhythm, and tone, while gradually introducing improvisation, expression, and composition. I integrate music theory practically, connecting concepts to real songs that students enjoy.
Each session is personalised to the learner’s goals, style, and pace, ensuring a supportive and engaging environment. I emphasise creativity, confidence, and emotional expression, helping students communicate through their instrument. Ear training, sight-reading, and performance preparation are key components of my teaching approach. I encourage exploration across genres, from classical to contemporary, broadening musical understanding. I provide structured practice routines, consistent feedback, and strategies to overcome challenges, ensuring steady progress. My lessons balance discipline with inspiration, fostering a lifelong love for music. I celebrate each student’s growth, whether mastering a new technique or performing confidently. Over time, students develop not only technical skill but also artistry, self-expression, and stage presence. Teaching is a partnership, where I guide, inspire, and mentor each musician on their journey. My ultimate goal is to help students find their unique voice, play with confidence, and express themselves fully through the guitar.
