About Lila

I have 11 years of experience teaching guitar and hold a Bachelor’s in Guitar Performance and a Master’s in Music Education. My academic background provided advanced study in solo repertoire, ensemble collaboration, performance psychology, and instructional methodology. Over the years, I have guided students from beginner stages to confident performance readiness.

I believe effective guitar instruction requires structure, patience, and consistent motivation. I carefully evaluate each student’s technical level, musical interests, and long-term goals before designing personalised lesson plans. Clear explanations, steady feedback, and practical demonstrations help learners improve confidently without feeling overwhelmed. I focus on long-term development rather than short-term results.

Outside teaching, I continue refining my performance skills and studying diverse musical styles to stay creatively inspired. Ongoing professional growth allows me to bring fresh ideas and practical insight into each lesson. I am committed to helping students achieve technical excellence, creative independence, and lasting confidence in their guitar journey.

About the lesson

My guitar lessons are carefully structured to build strong technical foundations while encouraging musical creativity and confident performance. I begin by focusing on correct posture, relaxed shoulder alignment, precise finger placement, and smooth chord transitions. These fundamental habits are essential because they directly affect tone clarity, rhythm stability, and long-term playing comfort. Students practise guided scale patterns, arpeggio drills, and controlled strumming exercises using steady tempo training. I explain each concept in simple English and provide clear demonstrations so learners understand how small technical adjustments improve overall sound and accuracy.

As students progress, we explore advanced chord voicings, fingerstyle coordination, dynamic control, and expressive phrasing. Music theory concepts such as scale relationships, harmonic progressions, and song structure are gradually introduced to deepen musical understanding. Students apply these ideas by learning full compositions and engaging in structured improvisation exercises. Weekly practice plans are designed to help learners manage their home practice efficiently and track measurable improvement.

Performance preparation is integrated into my lessons through rehearsal planning, stage focus training, and confidence-building strategies. My goal is to help each guitarist perform with precision, expressive maturity, and strong self-assurance in both informal and formal settings.
