About Gabe

Hi, I’m Gabe Toth, founder of Gabe Toth Music Academy. I help guitar students become real players — students who can understand chords, feel rhythm, play real songs, and build confidence instead of just memorizing shapes without knowing what to do next. I have 30+ years of teaching experience, 86 five-star Google reviews, and a lifetime of professional music experience as a teacher, performer, arranger, vocalist, pianist, guitarist, and music coach. My lessons are practical, musical, structured, and focused on real progress. I teach acoustic guitar, electric guitar, beginner guitar, rhythm guitar, chord changes, strumming, picking, timing, ear training, simple music theory, songwriting basics, bass basics, and performance confidence. One thing that makes my guitar lessons different is that students can also incorporate vocals when they are ready. Many students start guitar because they want to play songs, and then they realize they also want to sing while playing. Since I also teach voice professionally, I can help connect the guitar, rhythm, ear, and voice together in a natural way. That means we can work on steady strumming while singing, choosing better keys, improving pitch, simplifying guitar parts, phrasing lyrics, and building the confidence to perform the whole song — not just the guitar part. Some students are complete beginners. Some are adults returning to music after years away. Some already play a little but feel stuck. Some want to accompany themselves. Some want better rhythm, cleaner chords, stronger timing, or more confidence. Wherever you are starting, my job is to give you a clear path forward. If you want guitar lessons that are organized, encouraging, practical, musical, and built around real songs, I would be happy to help.

Every guitar lesson is built around one main goal: helping you play real music with more confidence, rhythm, control, and understanding. Some students want acoustic songs, strumming, and clean chord changes. Some want electric guitar, riffs, rhythm, and lead playing. Some want bass basics. Some want to understand music theory without getting overwhelmed. Some simply want to stop feeling lost every time they pick up the guitar. I build each lesson around your current level, your goals, and the music you actually want to play. For beginners, we work on simple chords, clean transitions, rhythm, timing, strumming patterns, picking, basic reading if needed, and real songs you can start using right away. For intermediate students, we work on smoother chord movement, stronger technique, better rhythm, fretboard understanding, ear training, practical theory, improvisation, songwriting, tone, and performance confidence. One major advantage of my guitar lessons is that students can also add vocal work when they are ready. Many guitar students eventually want to sing while playing, and because I also teach voice professionally, I can help you connect the guitar and vocal together naturally. That may include learning how to keep the rhythm steady while singing, choose the right key, simplify guitar parts, improve pitch, phrase lyrics, and perform the whole song with more confidence. My lessons are structured, but they are not stiff. You will always know what we are working on, why it matters, and how it connects to real music. A typical lesson may include chord work, rhythm training, picking exercises, song study, ear training, simple theory, vocal coordination, technique correction, and performance coaching. My goal is simple: help you play better, understand more, and feel more confident every time you pick up the guitar.

    5) Persistence, Repetition, Patience
  • 6) Name three musicians you dream of meeting in your favourite bar in the early hours of the morning. Explain why.
