About Zaya
My connection to guitar began with the excitement of creating sound and expressing emotions through music. Over seven years of teaching, I’ve learned that guiding students through their own musical discovery is just as fulfilling as performing. I bring patience, enthusiasm, and clarity to every lesson, helping students develop technique, artistry, and confidence at a pace that feels natural and encouraging. I tailor my teaching approach to each learner’s goals—whether they want to play casually, improve technical skills, join a band, or prepare for performances. I emphasize steady growth, mindful practice, and musical expression, ensuring students feel supported while also being challenged in meaningful ways. I value open communication and create a space where questions, creativity, and exploration are always welcome. Outside of teaching, I continue performing, learning new techniques, and exploring a variety of musical styles to bring fresh ideas to my students. Helping individuals connect with their musical voice remains one of the most rewarding parts of my career.

My guitar lessons offer a welcoming environment where students learn at a comfortable pace while building strong foundations in technique, rhythm, and musical expression. I begin each lesson with warmups that develop hand coordination, finger independence, and awareness of sound quality. From there, we explore chords, scales, melodies, and songs tailored to the student's level and musical interests. Whether learning acoustic or electric guitar, students receive structured guidance that balances discipline with creative exploration.
Beginners learn essential chords, strumming patterns, rhythm basics, and simple melodies that build confidence. Intermediate students explore barre chords, fingerstyle, scale application, stylistic phrasing, and improvisation fundamentals. Advanced learners work on complex repertoire, expressive articulation, performance technique, and creative skills like songwriting or arranging. Lessons include theory integration, ear-training, guided practice strategies, and personalized feedback that helps students grow steadily and meaningfully.
Over time, students develop musical independence, stronger technique, and a deeper sense of confidence in their playing. My goal is to nurture both skill and musical identity, helping students experience guitar as a rewarding, expressive, and lifelong source of creativity.
