About Gabriella

I am a violin tutor with over five years of experience and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Historical Performance (Baroque Violin). My teaching is designed especially for young children to develop strong ear training and aural skills. I believe that learning music at this stage should be fun, interactive, and imaginative. I use storytelling to make each lesson engaging and relatable. Rhythm games help children learn timing in a playful way. Movement activities allow them to feel music physically, which strengthens memory and confidence. Simple melodies are taught step by step, keeping progress steady and enjoyable. I draw from Suzuki and Kodály-inspired methods to emphasise learning through listening, singing, and active participation. This approach builds confidence while making lessons creative. I celebrate each child’s unique progress and encourage curiosity. My lessons are full of encouragement, discovery, and joy. I want music to feel like an adventure for every child. Learning violin becomes a way to play, imagine, and grow a musical ear.

About the lesson

I believe that learning the violin includes learning how to take care of it. My teaching approach makes violin care a natural part of lessons. Students first learn how to handle and store their instrument properly. I then show them cleaning routines to keep the violin looking and sounding great. We also focus on string changing, with simple, step-by-step guidance. Troubleshooting lessons prepare them for everyday issues like tuning problems or loose pegs. These skills give students confidence and independence. I’m very good with The Content Creator and The Shower Singer, and I help them keep their violin performance-ready at all times. My lessons are designed to be practical and easy to understand. I believe care and music go hand in hand. By maintaining their violin, students protect their progress. Every lesson builds both musical skill and practical knowledge. You’ll always know your violin is in the best condition for your music journey.
