About Kaitlyn
With 4 years of teaching experience and a BSc in Economics, I work with middle school students to introduce them to the world of economic ideas. My lessons cover basic concepts like supply and demand, money, trade, and choices. I bring these ideas to life with hands-on activities such as role-play markets and small classroom experiments. Simple exercises like budgeting games make economics practical and relatable. I also share stories that connect economics to everyday life. These stories keep learning engaging and easy to understand. My teaching style is nurturing and supportive, making sure every student feels confident. I encourage questions, curiosity, and critical thinking. Students learn that economics is not just a subject but a tool for understanding the world. Lessons are structured but also flexible enough for exploration. I aim to foster an early love for problem-solving and inquiry. Together, we explore how economics touches everything around us.

Economics can feel complex, but my approach makes it approachable and enjoyable. I guide students through fundamentals like supply and demand, trade, money, and decision-making. Lessons use clear visuals and examples from daily life. I bring concepts to life with trading simulations, budgeting activities, and real-world stories. Students see how economics is part of their everyday choices. My method encourages both curiosity and structure. Every topic is explained step by step. Business-Minded Students and Future Policy Makers receive targeted support to reach their goals. I emphasize active participation through questions and discussions. Students learn to think critically and connect ideas. Mistakes are viewed as valuable opportunities to learn. My teaching helps build confidence alongside knowledge. At the end of each session, students feel empowered to apply what they know. Economics becomes more than theory—it becomes a practical tool for understanding life.
